The City of Redding's Automated Payment Plan (APP) allows customers to pay their utility bill through electronic funds transfer. The Automated Payment Plan can save you time and money. No checks to write; no searching for a postage stamp; no need to stop at our office.
What You Need to Know
With the APP you will still receive a statement each month, but your payment will be taken out of your bank/credit union account automatically. The payment will be deducted on your bill due date or a date you select. Sign up now by completing the steps listed below.
How to Sign Up:
- Write "VOID" on one of your checks from the financial account you want debited.
- Fill out the enrollment form by clicking on Automated Payment Plan* or contact the Utility Customer Services office at (530) 339-7200 or toll free (866) 267-8845 for an enrollment form.
- Mail your completed application and voided check with your next payment or separately or drop your application off at the Utility Customer Service Payment Center.
Note: Allow 6 - 8 weeks for the first deduction. Check your billing statement to verify that your APP service has been started, when the plan has started your statement will read "DO NOT PAY".
